To support the revitalisation of communities devastated by the series of earthquakes that struck central Italy in 2016: this was the objective that drove Enel Cuore to contribute to one of the initiatives carried out by Associazione Tutti Insieme a Rovereto e Sant’Antonio Onlus (the Everyone Together with Rovereto and Sant’Antonio Association). Set up to raise funds for reconstruction activities following the 2012 earthquake in Emilia, the non-profit organisation put its experience and expertise at the service of towns in central Italy too. In Arquata del Tronto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, it facilitated the construction of a multi-functional, earthquake-resistant, energy-efficient facility, designed to foster social interaction amongst local residents and to recreate their sense of community and belonging, with a space to host religious ceremonies and events, as well as a medical centre. Enel Cuore contributed to this project by outfitting a large, modern kitchen within this multi-purpose facility in Arquata del Tronto, which was completed and opened in December 2017.
