Bullying and cyberbullying pose a growing threat to children and pre-teens, affecting their serenity and sense of security, both in schools and in the virtual communities they frequent. Protecting young people from these negative dynamics and promoting inclusive educational environments is essential to building a more caring and aware society. The Istituto degli Innocenti, based in Florence, is an institution that has been committed to protecting and promoting the rights of children and adolescents for more than six centuries. Through educational projects, social interventions and ongoing training, the Institute works to improve the well-being of the youngest children, providing them with the resources to grow up in protected environments that respect their dignity. We have chosen to support the project “Bull-OFF. Let's extinguish bullying and cyberbullying”, within the Nel Cuore dello Spazio Enel initiative, which creates a synergy between us at Enel Cuore and the Enel Spazio Enel di Enel Energia, spread throughout Italy; in fact, also thanks to their proximity to the territory, we give targeted responses to the specific needs and requirements coming from local realities, throughout the Italian territory. Also thanks to our support, the Istituto degli Innocenti has committed itself to developing a prevention and contrast program against bullying and cyberbullying aimed at young students. Involving two Comprehensive Institutes in Florence and two in Pisa, the project aims to provide students, teachers and families with concrete tools to identify, understand and manage these phenomena both in schools and in virtual communities. Through training and targeted interventions, “Bull-OFF” promotes respect and awareness, offering important support for those at risk of being victims or spectators of bullying. Bull-OFF represents a concrete commitment to building safe and inclusive educational environments where every child and adolescent can grow up away from phenomena of prevarication and violence. Through this initiative, schools and local and virtual communities become places of respect and personal growth, helping young people develop a solid social conscience.
