“Per mano”: to accompany children toward a better future

In the early years of life, children are particularly vulnerable and need a stable and secure environment to grow up peacefully. However, for many families living in socio-economic hardship, ensuring these basics can be an insurmountable challenge. The “Per mano” project, which we support alongside Save the Children Italia Onlus, aims to support 1,000 children born between May 2019 and March 2020, accompanying their families on a path of psycho-social and economic stabilization. Save the Children is one of the most authoritative and active organizations in child protection around the world. In Italy, the association is committed to ensuring that every child can have a future, offering concrete support to families and promoting essential rights such as education, health and well-being. With the “Per mano” project, Save the Children intends to strengthen its action in the cities of Turin, Milan, Rome, Naples and Bari, responding to the needs of those who are most vulnerable. The 18-month project provides targeted interventions in five Italian cities for families with children born during a crucial period in their lives. Through an integrated approach, “Per mano” aims to provide tools and resources to improve the economic and social conditions of families, offering personalized support to cope with daily difficulties and plan for a more stable future.
