Coping with an oncological disease often means dealing with the physical and psychological changes it brings as well. For many women who have undergone breast surgery, one of the most impactful side effects of chemotherapy is alopecia, a condition that can compromise the perception of one's image and dignity. The “Prevention” project was created with the goal of equipping the Oncology Department of San Paolo Hospital in Civitavecchia with an innovative device to prevent hair loss during chemotherapy treatments. It is a gesture of care and attention that goes beyond the disease, restoring greater serenity and self-confidence to patients.

We chose to support this initiative, promoted by the A.N.D.O.S. (National Association of Breast Operated Women) and the Civitavecchia Santa Marinella Committee, recognizing the importance of an approach to treatment that considers not only the medical aspects, but also the psychological and emotional aspects of patients. Thanks to our contribution, it was possible to equip the Oncology Department with a device to prevent chemotherapy alopecia, helping patients experience cancer therapy with a reduced emotional impact.
